HellMi LLC is the existing company that owns and operates the Hell, Michigan property. Let's Buy Hell is raising funds to purchase it outright. Once acquired, it continues as a real, professionally-run business — managing operations, events, the general store, and community programming.

Net profits from HellMi LLC operations are donated to the Hell Michigan Foundation. A business that exists to fund something bigger than itself.

The Foundation: Member-Directed Grants

The Hell Michigan Foundation will be formed as a philanthropic organization. Foundation members — all community supporters — propose grant projects and vote on them. Approved proposals are then submitted to the Foundation's board of directors for final authorization before any funds are spent.

This structure ensures grants serve genuine public benefit and comply with all applicable legal requirements — including no direct financial benefit flowing back to members for their support.

Not an Investment

Contributing to this campaign is not an investment in HellMi LLC or the Hell Michigan Foundation. You receive no equity, no shares, no securities, no membership units, and no financial interest of any kind. This is not regulated as a securities offering.

No Financial Return. Ever.

Expect no financial return whatsoever — no dividends, no profit-sharing, no buyouts, no appreciation, no redemption rights, no distributions. If you are giving expecting money back, do not give.

Not Tax-Deductible

Contributions are not tax-deductible. The Hell Michigan Foundation is in formation and has not obtained 501(c)(3) status. Assume no tax benefit. Consult your own tax advisor before giving.

No Ownership. No Control.

Giving confers no ownership interest in HellMi LLC or the Foundation. Honorary citizenship and Foundation membership are recognition-based only. The board of directors retains final approval over all Foundation spending.

Give because you believe in community ownership of Hell, because you want to fund Michigan grants, because the mission is right. Give for the mission alone — not for any personal financial benefit, because there is none.

Refund Policy

If the acquisition does not proceed, pledges will be refunded. If it proceeds, funds are committed to the mission. This page is not a prospectus or securities solicitation. When in doubt, consult a legal or financial advisor.
